Membership terms

The short version: Membership costs $5.99 per month (Monthly plan) or $59 per year (Annual plan) and renews automatically until you cancel. To avoid being charged for the next period, you must cancel before your renewal date. All payments are non-refundable.
Free trial codes
From time to time we offer promo codes for a free trial of the membership. Trials need no payment card, end automatically on the date shown in your account, and do not turn into a paid membership unless you choose to join. Each trial must be confirmed by email. Trials are limited to one per person, email address, device and household; we may end trials that we believe were created to get around this limit. Codes have no cash value and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
Who can join
Paid memberships are currently available only to customers with a United States billing address. If a membership is purchased with a billing address outside the US, it will be canceled and refunded.
1. Price and billing
You can choose one of two plans, in US dollars, plus any sales tax that applies where you live:
- Monthly: $5.99, charged every month.
- Annual: $59, charged once a year (about $4.92 a month).
Your first payment is charged when you sign up. After that, you are charged automatically on the same date each month (Monthly) or each year (Annual), your "renewal date," using the payment method you provided, until you cancel. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
2. Automatic renewal
By joining, you authorize us to charge your payment method the price of the plan you chose ($5.99 per month or $59 per year), plus applicable tax, on each renewal date until you cancel. Your renewal date is shown on your account page, and Stripe emails you a receipt for every payment. Annual members also receive an email reminder before each yearly renewal.
3. How to cancel
You can cancel anytime online: sign in, go to your account page, click Manage or cancel membership, and follow the steps on Stripe's secure billing page. No phone call or email is needed. You must cancel before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next month (Monthly) or year (Annual). Cancellations made on or after a renewal date take effect at the end of that new billing period.
4. No refunds
All membership payments are final and non-refundable, including for partial months or years, unused time, or if you forget to cancel before your renewal date, except where a refund is required by law. When you cancel, your membership stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and it does not renew after that.
5. Failed payments
If a payment fails, Stripe may retry it and ask you to update your card. If payment can't be collected, your account returns to a free account. Your saved favorites and lists stay with your account.
6. Price changes
If we ever change the membership price, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, so you have time to cancel if you don't want to continue.
7. Free accounts
Creating a free account costs nothing and never turns into a paid membership unless you choose to join and agree to these terms at checkout.
8. Health and nutrition
Recipes, calorie counts and meal plans are general information, not medical or nutrition advice. Calorie counts are estimates. Talk with your doctor or a registered dietitian before starting a weight-loss plan, especially if you have a health condition or food allergies.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your membership, we will notify members by email before it takes effect.
